What Happens After Referral?
The LCT team offers a flexible approach to referrals taking into account the needs of the child and the educational setting, along with parents’ views. Our involvement often includes:
- Observation
- Assessment
- Devising Strategies
- Advice and Guidance
- Targeted intervention
- Making recommendations
After the initial work has taken place, findings and conclusions are presented to both parents and school. If ongoing monitoring is required the pupil may stay on caseload; if no further work is required they may be discharged.
